There has been a revolution in music. People no longer have to listen to what the major labels want them to and bands no longer need the mainstream pull to bring them visibility or success. In this environment many bands have reformed and even more have been created and brought to the attention of the masses, breaking down the walls that were put in place fifteen years ago by the industry.

This is the story of just one of those bands, only the names, dates and places have been changed to protect the innocent.

Wednesdays Engine is a Canadian recording project/cover band made up of members form past projects including Skirmish, Lost Johnny, Blu Bones, Gypsy Rose and Total Stranger.

Not having a preconceived idea of what the band should or would be left the musical landscape wide open to be explored without the fear of alienating would-be fans or possible buyers of the act, something that plagued everyone in previous projects over the years. This is reflected in the diversity of the material that's covered.

As individuals we are all products of our life experiences and as a group this couldn't be more evident than with Wednesday's Engine. As many bands lapse into dated obsolescence, Wednesday's Engine has reinvented themselves as a live band that can still attract an audience, put on a show and write great music. Their continued interest in current bands, influences from the past and a continued look ahead keeps their approach to music fresh without shying away from where they came from and not attempting to become a part of the latest fad.
